Let's Talk Beauty
We believe an informed customer is a confident one. Here are answers to the questions we hear most — because your glow journey deserves clarity every step of the way.
1. Where is Underneath The Makeup based?
We are proudly based in the United States. Every product is crafted with intention, designed for real people with real hair and skin goals.
2. What is your delivery timeframe?
All orders are processed within 3–5 business days. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 5–7 business days within the U.S. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.
Standard shipping is $6.99 on U.S. orders under $75. Orders of $75 or more receive free standard shipping.
3. Are your products suitable for all hair textures and skin tones?
Our collection is created with a variety of hair textures, skin tones, and individual beauty routines in mind. Because everyone’s hair, skin, preferences, and needs are different, we encourage customers to review the individual product description, ingredients, and directions to determine which products best fit their needs.
4. What types of products do you offer?
Underneath the Makeup offers products across hair care, skin & body care, and fragrance. Our collection includes hair serums, balms and edge care; moisturizers, body care and multipurpose oils; fragrances in spray and rollerball options; and select bundles designed to make building your routine easier.
5. What’s the difference between the Glow Luxe Hair Growth Serum and the Glow Luxe Strengthening Hair Growth Serum?
The Glow Luxe Hair Growth Serum is designed to support overall hair and scalp care while promoting healthy-looking hair growth. The Glow Luxe Strengthening Hair Growth Serum is designed to help strengthen the hair and support length retention. Both can be part of a healthy hair-care routine—the best choice depends on your hair goals.
6. What’s the difference between the Glow Luxe Hair Growth Serums and Hair Balms?
The serums are oil-based formulas that can be applied to the scalp and hair. Our balms contain the targeted oils found in their corresponding formulas, along with shea butter, mango butter, avocado butter, and kokum butter for a richer, more conditioning texture. The balms can be used to help soften the hair, seal in moisture, and care for the lengths and ends. Choose a serum, a balm, or use them together based on your hair-care needs and preference.
7. How long before I see results?
Every person’s experience is different. Some customers have reported noticing changes such as moisture, softness, shine, or improvements in their overall routine within 2–4 weeks of consistent use. Some customers using our hair-care products have reported visible progress over 6–8 weeks.
These timeframes reflect individual experiences and are not guaranteed results. Hair and skin needs, genetics, health, lifestyle, routine, consistency, and other individual factors can influence results.
8. What should I know about the ingredients in your products?
Our products are thoughtfully created with ingredients selected according to the purpose of each formula. We encourage customers to review the ingredient information for each individual product, especially if they have allergies, sensitivities, or specific ingredient preferences. Because individual needs and sensitivities vary, patch testing is recommended when appropriate. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
9. Are your skin and body products suitable for different skin types?
Our skin and body products are created for a variety of skin types and routines. Because everyone’s skin is different, we recommend reviewing the ingredients and directions for each individual product before use. Patch testing is recommended, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or known sensitivities. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
10. What is your return and refund policy?
All sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or offer refunds. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@underneath-themakeup.com with photos of the product and packaging. Please review our full Refund Policy for complete details.
